(ANSA) - Trieste, October 28 - Finance police from the
northern city of Trieste on Friday seized 60 kilos of heroin
from an Iranian truck that had arrived in Italy via Turkey, ANSA
sources said.
The drugs are pure and would have had a very high
street value.
An Iranian national has been arrested, the sources
said.
He was named as truck driver K.M., 34, and taken to
Trieste's Coroneo Prison.
The drugs were hidden in a cargo of industrial salt on his
articulated lorry that arrived in the port of Trieste.
