(ANSA) - Rome, October 27 - Last night's earthquake in
central Italy, which was felt as far as Rome, caused no damage
to the Colosseum, the Imperial Forum, and archeological sites on
the Palatine Hill, officials said Thursday. The monuments were
inspected as soon as the first tremor was felt just after 19:00
on Wednesday evening, and were checked again this morning before
opening to the public.
