Train hits lorry on level crossing (2)

(ANSA) - Milan, September 30 - A train travelling from Milan to Varese with 200 commuters aboard hit a stationary lorry at a level crossing at Gazzada near Varese Friday but no one was hurt, the RFI rail company said. RFI said the level crossing was "working properly and shut" and that rail traffic had been stopped between Varese and Gallarate from 08:20. The passengers are awaiting buses.
