Renzo Piano unveils anti-quake homes

(ANSA) - Rome, September 29 - Architect Renzo Piano on Thursday presented plans of 10 prototype anti-seismic houses to be built along the Apennines as part of Premier Matteo Renzi's Home Italy programme to make Italy quake-proof.
    Presenting the plans in the Senate, Piano said Italy must be "kept safe from quakes through diagnostics and above all staying on the terrain of science".
    Renzi named Piano chief advisor to the Home Italy programme which was conceived following the August 24 earthquake that devastated central Italy and killed 297 people.
