(ANSA) - Rome, August 25 - Italy's fire service said Thursday
it had pulled 215 people out of rubble alive after Wednesday's
devastating earthquake. Some 2,027 personnel and 400 vehicles
are present in the quake zones and "they can rise at any time if
necessary," said Fire Department head Bruno Frattasi. He said
200 people had been saved in Rieti province in Lazio and 15
saved in the Marche region. According to the latest provisional
toll the 6.2-magnitude quake killed 241 people in Lazio and
Marche.
