(ANSA) - Genoa, July 26 - A 77-year-old pensioner strangled
his wife to death at their home in Pegli, near Genoa, after a
row that lasted hours, ANSA sources said Tuesday. The man,
Giacomo Sfragaro, called the Carabinieri and confessed to
killing Giuseppina Minatel, 76, the sources said. He has been
arrested. Relations between the couple were said to have been
strained since the death of their only son, who was aged 40, in
a drowning accident in 2012.
