Man sets ex's dad on fire

(ANSA) - Lecce, July 20 - A man named as Alvise Miccoli, 32, set his ex-girlfriend's father on fire Wednesday. The man, who has a criminal record, barricaded himself into his ex's house with her 16-year-old sister and her grandmother. Police talked him into surrendering, and arrested him. The woman's father was hospitalized with first and second-degree burns. The incident took place in a country house between the towns of Nardò and Avetrana, in the southern Puglia region.
