Teacher arrested for child abuse

(ANSA) - Avellino, May 30 - The flying squad in the Campania town of Avellino on Monday arrested a 58-year-old nursery school teacher on suspicion of physically and psychologically abusing children aged 3-5 years. The investigation began last year after reports from parents whose children were coming home from school with bruises.
    Police say the teacher beat the children, pulled their hair, and locked them for hours in a darkened room.
