(ANSA) - Cagliari, May 26 - Firefighters on Thursday
discovered the skeletal remains of a 57-year-old man who died an
estimated five years ago in a flat in the Sardinian village of
San Gavino Monreale.
Neighbors had called emergency services after noticing a
water leak coming from the flat.
Firefighters found milk and other food with a 2011
expiration date in the fridge, as well as receipts and doctor's
prescriptions dating from that year on a table near the corpse.
The deceased named as Marcello Putzu is thought to have
died of natural causes.
