(ANSA) - Rome, April 27 - A man who unwittingly drank a
bottle of acid after buying what he thought was a bottle of
water at a Rome bar Tuesday is fighting for his life, hospital
sources said Wednesday.
The man, 58, is in critical condition in an intensive care
unit with severe burns from his tongue to his duodenum.
Police have confiscated the bottle which reportedly had a
strong smell of acid.
