Fake police robbed motorists

(ANSA) - Trieste, April 26 - Three people were arrested and another person cited on Tuesday for allegedly posing as finance police in order to rob motorists. The suspects allegedly simulated tax-evasion controls at motorway lay bys before forcing drivers to hand over their money and car keys. In Tuesday's operation police recovered clothes bearing the inscription 'finance police', police lights, two reproduction pistols, electric stun guns, knuckledusters and rubber gloves.
