(ANSA) - Varese, April 18 - A man was arrested Monday after
eight years on the lam.
The 55-year-old Italian was arrested on a European arrest
warrant issued by a Romanian court in 2008.
The native of the town of Busto Arsizio in Varese province
was sentenced in Romania to 10 years in prison for circulating
and spending counterfeit euros.
A Milan appeals court will decide whether or not to
extradite him.
