(ANSA) - Rome, April 15 - Italian Premier Matteo Renzi on
Friday said that the government's new public-tender code has
five key elements that greatly simplify the process.
"A digital thrust, guaranteed transparency and simplicity,
maximised streamlining with 'soft law' and guidelines that
substitute detailed intervention comma by comma, the great
capability of a reduction in the number of articles, and
insistence on good planning," he said.
"There's also attention to the work, the strengthening of
ANAC (national anti-corruption authority) in the role of
guarantor".
"The old code had 660 articles and 1,500 commas, and even
more subsequent regulations, overlapping competencies,
stratifications. We're going to a code with 217 articles with
guidelines entrusted to the work of ANAC".
