(ANSA) - Rome, April 7 - The Lower House election committee
on Thursday voted to eject Forza Italia MP Giancarlo Galan after
he plea-bargained a definitive two year 10 month sentence for
corruption on the Venice MOSE flood-barrier project. The matter
will now be put to the a full House vote. Galan had argued he
was forced into the plea bargain by being jailed in the case.
