Owner shoots at 3 thieves, kills one (2)

(ANSA) - Naples, March 21 - The owner of property in Villa Literno, near the southern city of Caserta, shot at three thieves early on Monday, killing one of them, ANSA sources said.
    The owner opened fire as the three thieves were trying to steal a car. They escaped in a white BMW and then left the corpse of the dead person at a hospital in Aversa.
    The BMW was later found burning in a field nearby, where firefighters arrived on the scene and put out the blaze.
    Carabinieri police from the neighboring town of Casal di Principe are investigating.
