(ANSA) - Grosseto, February 18 - A 70-year-old man was
sentenced to life in prison with two months of daytime solitary
confinement for the premeditated murder of a retired gym teacher
whose body was never found.
Antonino Bilella was the caretaker of a Tuscan country
house belonging to 55-year-old Francesca Benetti, who went
missing in November 2013.
The court also convicted him for stalking, rape, and
concealment of a body.
Investigators found the victim's blood in the country house
and in the trunk of Bilella's car. Bilella has steadfastly
proclaimed his innocence.
