Sollecito presents start-up

Ex defendant in Kercher murder case pitches 'hybrid' in Sanremo

(ANSA) - Sanremo, February 8 - Raffaele Sollecito, the man acquitted of murdering British Erasmus student Meredith Kercher in Perugia in 2007, on Monday presented a new business project for commemorating the dead.
The start-up, called Memories, allows registered users to create a profile for their dead loved ones with photographs and videos, as well as arranging for flowers, wreaths and other commemorative objects to be placed on their tombs. The 31-year-old electronic engineer described the project as a "hybrid" between a social network and an e-commerce site. Sollecito and his co-defendant Amanda Knox were acquitted definitively of murdering Kercher by Italy's Supreme Court of Cassation last year.
