Strong winds, snow on their way to Italy

(ANSA) - Rome, February 3 - A central European cold front is set to bring strong winds and snowfall to Italy shortly, weather forecasters said Wednesday. The civil protection department has issued a weather advisory beginning this evening for the regions of Abruzzo, Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Marche, Molise, Piedmont, Sardinia, and Umbria. Weak to moderate snowfall is expected beginning in the small hours of Thursday above altitude of 500 meters in the Abruzzo region.
