(ANSA) - Milan, January 26 - A plastic surgeon and the owner
of a car wrecking yard were arrested Tuesday for being part of
an 'Ndrangheta ring centred on the northern Italian town of
Desio, police said.
Police said 42-year-old Milan plastic surgeon Arturo Sgrò
and 40-year-old businessman Ignazio Marrone were an "integral"
part of the ring and not just associate members.
They allegedly collected debts and helped run rackets,
police said.
'Ndrangheta, Italy's richest mafia, originally comes from
the southern Italian Calabria region.
