(ANSA) - Ivrea, December 18 - Police near Turin issued
citations to four people on Friday for stealing a Christmas
tree, and then took up a collection to buy the tree for those
who stole it, along with some gifts for their children, ANSA
sources said.
The group of four - an Italian and three people of Slavic
descent - said they stole the tree because they wanted to give
their children a gift, after the children saw the tree outside a
store and wanted one just like it.
