(ANSA) - Rome, November 25 - Employment in the agricultural
sector rose by 2% in the first half of 2015, Agriculture
Minister Maurizio Martina said Wednesday quoting Istat figures.
This translates into 16,000 more people in work, he added.
The figures represent "a turning point for agriculture and
confirm the growth in employment in 2014" of 1.6%, Martina said.
The increase has been partly driven "by agricultural
policies developed over the last 18-20 months," he concluded.
