Two robbers shot dead by shopkeeper

(ANSA) - Naples, October 7 - Two robbers were shot dead on Wednesday by a shopkeeper during an attempted robbery in the Bay of Naples town of Ercolano, sources with the Carabinieri police said. The men followed the jeweller after he took out several thousand euros from a cash machine and then attempted to rob him when he went into a friend's drinks shop, police said. The jeweler had a license for the gun he used.
