(ANSA) - Venice, September 28 - Two foreign tourists, a
German and a Pole, were nabbed by Carabinieri paramilitary
police after allegedly commandeering and making off with a
gondola they were rowing down the Grand Canal, police said
Monday.
Asked by police what they were doing, the two said "we
wanted to go for a spin".
The two were charged with theft and endangering other
vessels.
