Seven convicted for elderly abuse

(ANSA) - Ascoli Piceno, September 28 - A court on Monday sentenced seven people to prison for abusing pensioners at a retirement home.
    The seven were arrested in 2010 after Carabinieri police found residents at the the Casa di Giobbe retirement home on the hills surrounding the city of Ascoli Piceno with suspicious marks on their bodies and in a state of filth.
    Sentences ranged from one year six months to two years ten months.
