New arrests in CPL Concordia case

Investigation concerns alleged links between coop, mafia clan

(ANSA) - Naples, July 3 - Carabinieri police on Friday arrested six people in relation to a probe into alleged relations between the Casalesi clan of Campania's Camorra mafia and the CPL Concordia coopertive over methane contracts in the province of Caserta, ANSA sources said. Former CPL President Roberto Casari, who was under house arrest, was taken to prison.
    Former lawmaker Lorenzo Diana, an ex member of the anti-mafia commission, is under investigation in the probe, the sources said. He is being probed for alleged abuse of office and external participation in mafia association, sources said.
