(ANSA) - Rome, June 30 - A 16-year-old girl was raped Monday
night in the upscale Prati district of Rome, police said
Tuesday.
The girl said she was with a girlfriend when a man
approached her, took her to a nearby park - not far from Rome's
main courthouse - and sexually abused her.
The victim was not from Rome, police said.
Amid outrage over the alleged attack, populist Northern
League leader Matteo Salvini called for the suspected rapist to
be chemically castrated.
