Dad convicted for peddling hash to son

(ANSA) - Trento, May 29 - A local court convicted a man Friday on charges of peddling hashish to his son and sentenced him to a suspended prison term of one year and a 2,000-euro fine, judicial officials said.
    The errant dad was turned in by the mother of the boy's girlfriend.
    A police search of the man's house turned up a small amount of hashish.
    The boy denied being given joints by his father, who also denied the charges.
    Defense lawyers said they were lodging an appeal.
