Dad who ran away with newborn tracked down in Spain

(ANSA) - Turin, April 17 - An Italian man who disappeared three days ago with his newborn baby has been tracked down in Spain, ANSA sources said. Enzo Costanza, 38, was found by police in a shopping centre in the south-eastern city of Albacete, in the Castilla-La Mancha region, the sources said.
    The two-week-old baby has been taken to hospital for a checkup but appears to be in good condition. Costanza reportedly snatched the newborn infant while his wife was at a supermarket.
    He was last seen driving into the Frejus road tunnel linking Italy and France, although the authorities had been able to trace his movements in Spain, as he had used his credit card to buy fuel for his car.
    The last transaction took place in the central city of Ciudad Real, which had led investigators to believe that he could be heading for Portugal.
    Costanza suffers from depression and had only recently decided to suspend medical treatment against his doctor's advice.
