(ANSA) - Manarola, (La Spezia), April 3 - About 30 months
after landslides forced the closure of a popular tourist path in
the Cinque Terre, a portion of the via dell'Amore has reopened,
officials said Friday.
About 200 meters on the path leading to the village of
Manarola, one of the Cinque Terre, was closed after a landslide
in September 2012 destroyed the walkway and injured Australian
tourists.
Officials said repairs to the path cost about 2.3 million
euro.
The five villages and the surrounding hillsides as well as
the coastline are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and
a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
