(ANSA) - Udine, April 1 - A court on Wednesday sentenced a
37-year-old man to 18 years in prison for the stabbing murder of
a woman in the northern city of Udine.
Nicola Garbino was found guilty in a fast-track trial -
which allows for a reduced sentence but no appeal in case of
conviction - of attempted kidnapping, possession of a knife and
murder in the death of 28-year-old lawyer Silvia Gobbato, whom
he attacked and stabbed to death while she was out jogging on
September 17, 2013.
