No electric or heat for many in Abruzzo

(ANSA) - Pescara, March 6 - Approximately 250,000 people in Abruzzo were going on 27 hours without electricity on Friday as a result of heavy snowfall and storms, and some of those were also without heat, said Mario Mazzocca, Abruzzo's civil protection councillor.
    "The bad weather situation is tragic, above all on the Enel front," Mazzocca said, referring to one of Italy's electric utilities.
