20 million Italians to get pre-compiled tax forms

(ANSA) - Rome, March 6 - Italy's inland revenue agency, the Agenzia delle Entrate, said Friday that some 20 million Italians will receive pre-compiled forms for their 2014 tax returns on April 15. The move is part of a government drive to simplify Italy's tax system. The pre-compiled 730 forms will go to people whose tax returns are generally simple, such as pensioners and people employed on regular labour contracts.
    Taxpayers will be able to modify the data on the forms, using their own computers or with the help of an accountant.
