(ANSA) - Turin, March 3 - Police in Turin said Tuesday they
were investigating 52 people they believe were connected with a
string of 55 armed robberies.
They said offenses include kidnapping, international drug
trafficking as well as theft and possession of stolen property.
According to police, two different gangs that were not
connected are believed to have been involved in the crimes that
included robberies at pharmacies, supermarkets, and jewelry
stores.
Investigators said they seized 70 kilos of drugs including
cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and hashish.
