(ANSA) - Rome, March 2 - A bid by Italian climbers Simone
Moro and Tamara Lunger to scale the 8,163-metre-high Manaslu
peak in the Himalayas has been delayed by a fierce snowstorm.
The pair posted a photo on Facebook showing a
2.6-metre-high tent at base camp submerged by snow.
"It's never stopped snowing. It's astonishing. There are
five metres of snow now," Moro said.
Lunger said: "Mamma mia".
