Police seize 320 mn euros of assets in Camorra operation

Linked to the Contini clan operating out of Naples

(ANSA) - Naples, February 18- Italian finance police conducted a major operation on Wednesday in which they seized assets throughout Italy totalling 320 million euros linked to the Contini clan of the Camorra mafia syndicate, investigators said.
    According to police, the vast list of businesses, property and land seized by police were dummy corporations managed by affiliates of the Contini clan operating out of Naples.
    The long list of assets seized included a luxury villa on the island of Ischia, as well as 27 units of real estate, 41 petrol stations, and 20 coffee bars throughout the provinces of Naples and Avellino.
    Police said their investigations revealed the roles of brothers Gerardo and Ciro Di Carluccio, both considered to be right-hand men for clan boss Edoardo Contini.
