(ANSA) - Catania, February 2 - A court said Monday that Veronica Panarello, accused of murdering her eight-year-old son Loris Stival in November, is lucid, manipulative, with an "unexpected psychological strength" to commit a serious crime.
It ordered she remain in custody as she has shown "a chilling indifference" to the death. The court said she coldly "simulated...a kidnapping for sexual purposes" of her child to cover her tracks and threw him in a canal, showing an "impressive determination in getting rid of the dead body".
