(ANSA) - Rome, January 30 - A castle was among almost 350 pieces of property seized from a businessman linked to the Naples-based Camorra mostly in northern Italy Friday.
Police seized assets worth some 130 million euros from the unnamed man, a native of Salerno north of Naples.
The seizures took place in the northern provinces of Padua, Varese, Vicenza, Treviso, Belluno, Ferrara and Bologna; the central ones of Siena and Rome; and the southern ones of Naples, Salerno, Taranto, Matera and Cosenza.
"This operation is another hard blow against the mafia infiltration of the northern economy," said the chair of the parliamentary anti-mafia commission, Rosy Bindi.
