(ANSA) - Rome, January 30 - A court on Friday sentenced 14
people to a total of 200 years in prison for criminal mafia
association in what was the first trial against the Fasciani
clan in the Rome seaside suburb of Ostia.
Five defendants were acquitted.
The heaviest sentence of 28 years was handed down to clan
boss, Carmine Fasciani.
