(ANSA) - Vicenza, January 27 - Three people were arrested
Tuesday after a foiled kidnapping attempt in the northern
province of Vicenza.
Carabinieri intervened in the early hours of the morning to
prevent the kidnapping of the 13-year-old son of Bernardo
Bassan, a beverage import exporter known locally as the 'king of
beer'.
Prosecutors say the ringleader is a businessman from Padua
who owes Bassan a lot of money.
