(ANSA) - Naples, January 15 - Police on Thursday evicted families living illegally in a building a Naples suburb considered to be a stronghold of a clan belonging to the southern Campania region's Camorra mafia.
The authorities evicted seven families from Palazzo Fienga in Torre Annunziata, the historic base of the local Gionta clan, as people shouted insults at police and workmen involved in carrying out the operation.
Some 40 other families who had also been living in the building illegally, had reportedly left the premises as well.
