(ANSA) - Milan, December 1 - Italy's northern city of Ravenna is number one in overall quality of life, while Agrigento on the southern coast of Sicily is the worst of 107 cities ranked in an annual survey released on Monday by Italian newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore.
Rome, which took 20th place in 2013, rose to 12 in 2014, and Milan, which was in 10th place last year, rose to eighth this year.
The majority of cities in the top 10 are northeastern mountain towns or those in the Emilia-Romagna region.
Naples rose from last place in 2013 to 96th in 2014, the spot that 107th-ranked Agrigento held last year.
The 2014 survey is the 25th time the newspaper has released its ranking, judging cities on six criteria including environment, employment, and city services.
