Italian hurt in West Bank clashes with Israeli army

Life not in immediate danger, says consulate

(ANSA) - Tel Aviv, November 28 - Sources at the foreign ministry in Rome on Friday confirmed reports that a 30-year-old Italian who was part of a group expressing solidarity with Palestinians was hurt in the stomach in clashes with the Israeli army at Kfar Kaddum, in the area of the West Bank city of Nablus. The sources said the Italian was not in danger of dying, describing his condition as stable. The Italian consulate in Jerusalem told ANSA that the injured person has been transferred to a hospital in Ramallah.
    The Italian was named as Patrick Corsi, a member of the International Solidarity Movement, by ANSA sources.
