(ANSA) - Palermo, November 24 - A baby girl who was dumped
in a trash container in Palermo shortly after being born has
died, ANSA sources said Monday.
Doctors had tried without success to resuscitate the
newborn, whose umbilical cord was still attached, after she was
rushed to hospital.
Passers-by had found the baby after hearing its cries, and
called emergency services.
