Lombardy hiring 'bureaucratic angels' for Expo

Dozens of new graduates to help firms beat red tape

(ANSA) Milan, October 7 - Lombardy's regional government plans to hire 30 recent graduates as "bureaucratic angels" helping firms cut through Italy's notorious red tape during the Expo Milano 2015 exhibit, Governor Roberto Maroni said Tuesday.
    The regional government approved spending 800,000 euros on employing 30 graduates in law, economics and environmental studies to act as 'administrative angels' for a year, Maroni told a press conference.
    Each province of Lombardy will have two angels except for Sondrio which gets only one and the remainder will be in Milan where three will be made available for Expo 2015 durijng the six months of the exhibit.
    Candidates will be chosen in November so that training can take place in December.
