(ANSA) - L'Aquila, September 19 - A man recently wounded by
a bear has been placed under investigation for shooting dead a
bear in Abruzzo last Friday, judicial sources said. The man,
identified only as A.C., 57, may face charges of killing a
member of a protected species, they said. An autopsy Thursday
showed the rare Marsican brown bear was shot and not poisoned,
as earlier thought.
