(ANSA) - Catania, September 17 - Police in Sicily said
Wednesday they arrested two Egyptian men on allegations of
migrant trafficking.
The pair are accused of trying to smuggle 169 people into
Italy on a 15-metre-long fishing vessel, police said.
Police found a satellite phone they believe was used by the
men to call for help once they reached international waters - a
practice authorities say is becoming more common.
