(ANSA) - Rome, September 15 - More than 200 migrants were missing after a boat sank off the coast of Libya, according to media reports Monday. Only 26 people were rescued Sunday night from the vessel carrying about 250 migrants bound for Italy, said Libyan navy spokesman Ayub Qassem, quoted by Al Jazeera. "There are so many dead floating on the sea," said Qassem, adding that the Libyan coast guard has few means to intervene and must borrow ships from the country's oil sector for rescue operations. Meanwhile, Italian Navy ships rescued 95 migrants Sunday from a boat off the Libya coast while 111 people fleeing the war in Syria arrived in the port of Crotone, officials said.
