Giannini wishes kids luck, Boschi visits school

Minister promotes government education reforms on website

(ANSA) - Rome, September 15 - Education Minister Stefania Giannini wished Italian school children good luck on their first day back to classes Monday. In post on his Twitter feed, the minister wrote "Dear kids, have a good first day today," and urged parents to check out the government's education reforms website www.labuonascuola.it. The site outlines the government's 12-point plan for school reforms including hiring of new teachers and bringing wireless Internet into schools.
    Meanwhile, Reform Minister Maria Elena Boschi visited an elementary school near Arezzo Monday morning to tell children that the government wants their input on what schools should be teaching.
