Dissatisfaction with Italian public services

Unhappy with emergency rooms, retirement, childcare

Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - Rome, July 23 - Italians are not satisfied with public services in general and would be willing to pay for better one, according to an annual report to parliament and the Italian government released by CNEL, the National Council for Economics and Labour, on Wednesday.
The report said that Italians would be most willing to pay for better job-training programs, but following closely behind were health care services and retirement plans.
The report measured satisfaction levels regarding emergency room care, local health care, retirement, disability support, childcare and in-home care, and is aimed at organizations representing collective interests, not end users.
The research was conducted between March and June of 2014 in the regions of Lombardy, Lazio and Campania.
