Drug addict 'beat pregnant partner, threw acid at her'

(ANSA) - Rome, April 24 - A man was arrested in Anzio south of Rome Thursday for allegedly beating his pregnant girlfriend and throwing acid at her.
    Police said the man, 38, was a drug addict who was high when he assaulted her.
    The woman, who was not hit by the acid, was taken to hospital with concussion.
    She does not risk losing the baby, the hospital said.
